The new feature is called "Positive Lock" and is designed to ensure that a patio door sliding panel is properly engaged to the mortise before allowing the homeowner or tenant to engage the lock lever. It is the nature of all patio doors, that sometimes a resident slides the patio door panel to what they feel is a "shut" position and engages the lock lever but the panel is not seated all the way up against the mortise. In this case the resident thinks the lock is engaged when it actually is not. The door can be opened from the inside, perhaps by a child or the outside, perhaps by an intruder without a problem and this presents a safety hazard. Title: JANTEK INDUSTRIES DONATES FENCING TO ANIMAL SHELTER
The Camden County Animal Shelter was without an outside run and play area for dogs for many years. Last month, Shelter staff decide to mount a campaign to seek donations of the necessary building materials from local companies. "Out of 10 companies I contacted for help, Jantek was the only one that actually did help us" said Sherry Heiser a member of the CCAS staff who was in charge of the project. Jantek donated its premium vinyl fence including posts and hardware worth over $6000.00 to the project. "We thank all of the wonderful people at Jantek so much. It will mean the world to our dogs to be able to have an outside fenced in area to run and play." Heiser said. Diane Pray, Jantek's Customer Service Manager coordinated the project for Jantek. The United States Department of Energy's Energy Star Program has certified Jantek Industries Princeton Yorktowne Windows amoung the most energy efficient on the market. Jantek's triple pane Princeton Yorktowne windows with LowE glass and Krypton gas fill were certified to have a U-Factor of .19 by an independant test laboratory and the National Fenestraction Rating Council (NFRC) which controls the certifications for Energy Star.
